It's sooo quiet!!!! Especially since it's an open stand, you would expect some kinds noise. The pump is humming vibrating ever soo slightly. But I hope that should go away when it gets slimed up.

Thats what the ghost overflow is supposed to do It even makes an ehiem sound loud.

I ask this question to a reef savvy post on Facebook but didn't get an answer. Toxic can you verify if the water going trough the teeth has a drop on the box from looking at the videos I didn't see a water drop and this could be bad if due to no skimming capabilities it would allow a lot of water to bounce back into the water column. Rick you might have a better answer? The reason I ask is because I'm interested in one but I want to hear from people using it

No, it has a drop. Otherwise, as you mentioned it, wouldn't surface skim.

Yes it drops. And yes there is 24" of surface skimming . Kevan can give his experience as well.

It skims great. The tank had a bunch of dust/styrofoam etc in it and now it's floating in the sump. The ghost skimmed it off in no time.

This is one awesome build,, i can't wait to see it stocked,,, are starting a completely new livestock setup or moving from another tank,, would love to see the tank you have now,,, i love these light s too,,, i was asking mixer about his,, do you have any problems with light spillage? I know it's not setup yet so probably not a good time to ask... I'm thinking about doing the same light but more led,, I'm just concerned about spillage and dimming smoothly for dusk and dawn... Love this build can't wait for more... Ps love the stand too...
