Looking for some suggestions on my new set up. Quick run down of system:
300dd Display
75g sump
40g refugium
60g frag tank

Entire system will be plumbed together. The system will be ran by my Apex. Mixed reef and medium livestock.

Where I am looking for suggestions is with replacing trace/dosing? I have a DOS and am wanting to use it for Automated Water Change. The delemma is whether to purchase another DOS to dose two part or a Kore 5th and have to hassle with more software in order to utilize 5 channels and ATO system.

Any suggestions on best route to maintain levels while having the ability to grow my system for future needs. I am aware I could start with a second DOS to simply dose two part, but with a system this large am I going to be able to keep up with the additional trace elements via AWC?

Thanks in advance!

Curtis

For a system that size you might want to consider a calcium reactor. I just set up a Geo reactor on my tank, and when you automate it with an Apex it really is a breeze it dial in. It'll give you your calc and alk, plus a lot of the trace elements.

I agree that a calcium reactor would be needed as my calcium needs grow. Which I guess may steer me to the Kore 5th? I could use it to dose Trace elements that I am unable to keep up with via AWC?

I'm confused as to what else you think you're going to need to dose? If you do water changes with a good quality salt and keep the alk and calc in check with the reactor, you should be fine.
