What's up reefers I'm just wondering on the topic of trace elements from my corals to grow if you can shed some opinion on calcium magnesium alkalinity and all the elements necessary for the corals to grow?

There isn't an opinion. You need Calcium Magnesium and stable alkalinity for corals to be stable, colorful and to grow. Depending on the size of your tank, the quantity of corals, the size of the corals, the frequency you do water changes and the salt you use for your water changes will determine how much effort is required for you to maintain stable levels of your Calcium and magnesium.

But you are only listing 2 elements and a parameter of your aquarium water. If you want real success you need to look at evaluating the consumption of all your trace elements and the replenishment of them as needed based on your particular system. Look into something like the Triton Method which tests for 32 different elements that your corals consume and gives you instructions for your particular aquarium and livestock selection as to what you need to dose and in what quantities.

I'm a beginner so I don't know about these trace elements. That's why I am asking. All I know is that I need calcium magnesium and alk for the corals and that there are bottles I can get that have all of the trace elements inside and I just put scoops of it in when necessary. Am I correct?

Changing your water gives the tank what it needs in Trace Elements, no need to suppliment, unless you have a ton of corals. Some corals also need to be fed, and not just use light alone.

I just been seeing all of these products and it's overwhelming lol

They are not needed, just out there to make money for the most part. Phyto and a few others can be used to feed some corals, but most of the stuff out there isn't needed at all.

What about a gfo system ? Is it a must to have carbon and gfo?

GFO, its not a must have, you could use some other means of ridding your system of Phosphates. There are Lanthanum products out there that remove phospahtes, so you really don't have to use GFO.
You also son't have to run Carbon, some will run it occasionally, I haven't had carbon on my system in years.
