So my 300 gallon tank used to be a planted tank and I have a box of this stuff still unused and outside of trashing it. Is there any use for these in a reef aquarium to any extent? Each are separate and can be mixed together or separate obviously as needed.

Do not use the Plantex. The nitrate and phosphate might be ok if you need those. I wouldn’t use the others except perhaps as part of a more sophisticated recipe.

I figured as much. I was going to start dosing the phosphate and nitrate because currently I don’t have much so I was planning to start small and increase and watch for algae.

In your recommendation though what would you start out as as far as a mix? (RO:nitrate and phosphate)? Stick to their recommended mix?

If they have a recommended ratio of nitrate and phosphate, definitely ignore it and dose only what you need.
