As I was doing my water change, my hose had sucked up part of the coral and caused a tear. Will it recover, how quickly can it recover and what can I do to help, here is a picture

Ouch! Tough one! My tank was neglected for some time and I noticed my trachy had a few dead spots in the middle that grew algae. With a few water changes and mildly better upkeep (still working on it) the spot healed over by the next time I remembered to look at it (maybe a month or so time).

Did you have to do anything special for it?
