Got this trachy from a friend last week and noticed it was showing some skeleton with algae on it. It still puffed up and accepted food but the last couple of days it has stayed shrunken so I moved it into a hospital tank. First day in there puffed up just fine and looked good so I fed it. Today it looks like it pooped all the reefroids out and I noticed some more exposed skeleton but it looks like it’s been that way for awhile since it’s green. Could this be some sort of infection? The person I got it from had it in a frag tank with clownfish but I do know his calc reactor pooped out so his alk was out of wack. Can I save it or is it slowly wasting away?

Tissue recession likely from inadequate light and water flow
Assure salinity- ph-nitrate- phosphate not elevated
Are you feeding it?
