As the title says one of my trachyphyllias is always open with it's feeding tentacles exposed. Everything else in the tank is happy, chalices, acans, SPS, and other LPS. It's color is good and will eat when given food and shrinks up after lights out as usual.
The only parameters I monitor are:
ALK. 8.4
Cal 420
pH 8.33
Salinity 1.025

Thanks,
John

I don't think it's hunger. Fed some mysis last night and then some chunks of silver sides tonight and still the feeding tentacles are extended. The only thing I have changed in the tank of late is I started dosing Elos Omega, sparingly since in the past I have found it to be a red slime producer. SPS have great PE and colors are better but I wonder if it put the trachy feeding response in to overdrive?
