Not sure what this is and if it is normal. I believe this is a Trachyphyllia Radiata and it has been doing this for a few weeks at least. The slime string comes from under the flesh and I am not sure exactly where. I also have a Geoffroyi that has never done this.

Is this something I should be concerned with?

Thanks @DSC reef ! ! He's been doing it regularly since I placed him in the temp tank before the waterbox
 
Mine used to it a lot and I would find strands caught on acropora. Your coral looks healthy, just keep an eye on it.
 
Looks healthy to me. Nice piece also. Mine did that A LOT when I first placed it in the temp tank before I got my display set up. It's a defense mechanism from being removed from the water. Most fleshy LPS will slime up to keep themselves from drying out as fast. Oddly enough, it didnt really slime when I moved it to the display... it just swole up bigger than I've ever seen it.
