Hi everyone.

need some advice. One of the snails had a go at my Traci today and it now looks like this. It’s gone retracted but looks almost like it’s opening up.

Any advice would be really appreciated as it’s one of my favourites and I really don’t want to loose this one!

should say if you look closely at the bottom middle you can see where it’s eaten the flesh off

Cheers

Should say I do have a coral dip solution but just a bit wary about doing too much as it’s only just happened. Literally caught the snail in the act

I usually leave corals alone and they heal up in a couple of days most of the time. What type of snail was this because i havent heard of any eating corals, something might have damaged the trachy before the snail came over and ate the rest

I believe it’s called a Babylonian snail. I’d just feed some reef roids turned my back for a few minutes and found it nibbling the side of the Traci

Thanks for the replies. I’ll leave it till tomorrow evening then and maybe dip it tomorrow evening just to try help prevent any infection etc. Just going by what I’ve read in the past but never had a problem like this before so just wanted some advice and to put my mind to rest!
