Do you use any apps or software to track your water chemistry/progress etc?

I use Aquarium note and it seems to work well. Anyone else have any experience with it or suggestions of something that might be better?

A little notebook with a pen.

I don't trust apps such as that, you never known when your phone will crash, lost, broken, etc, and all that means is you will lose all your data.

Ask me how I know. lol

Ah yes... experience...

Reminds me of something I heard years ago regarding NASA spending millions to invent a pen that would write properly in zero gravity space... When they tried to find out what the Russians were doing - they saw that they simply used a pencil...LOL

That being said, the app does allow backups to either cloud or storage of your choice. I backup after I complete my data every week to my Google Drive.

I used to use aquarimate. The charts and reminders are cool but I ended up switching back to pen and paper. I know some people use Excel.

I use Word as a jounal and for test numbers. It works well as all current conditions and changes are also recorded with a date. I also date all my pictures so I can go back and match up pictures with dates if I need to.

I find my comments and observations more valuable than a over abundance of numbers listed in spread sheets.

And this is why I still prefer the good old pen and paper. I find my comments much more valuable then just a bunch of numbers.

I use Aquatic Log but also log everything to a spreadsheet.

Ive tried others but I always end up going back to Aquarium Note. It also has a backup and restore, to your google account, option in settings. ❤️
