Alittle over a week ago I traded a buddy some LA Laker zoas for a 3-4" crocea clam. I thinking he is pretty happy where he is at cause he hasn't jumped, only had some minor movements but looks like he is starting to anchor himself. Should I check? or just leave him be? Lol. this is my first crocea but not my first clam, currently have a 6" ORA derasa. I currently supplement feed with DT phyto (i know some say it isn't needed but it make me happy lol). Also was wondering if the brown on the mantle will also stay will it grows? or will it fade? just curious cause i've read how the mantle tends to turn brown from lack of sufficient lighting but look to me more of its natural color.

Thanks!

Beautiful clam! Hopefully someone can give you some answers soon! :D

I'm no expert but I wouldn't try to move it to see if it's attached. I would think that the colors will stay the same. They may change in intensity though.

Nice looking clam! I wouldn't move it, and it should hold it's colors as stated above. I have had them get a little brighter and a little darker but for the most part they stay the same.

thanks everyone! appreciate it Lee...whew, i was thinking of just posting the clam in the Zoa section didn't think i was gonna get any advise here...lol...JK
