I have a snowflake eel that I have has for about a month and today I'm bringing him to the lfs for a trade, This is not where I purchased him. He is very thick and about 24-30 inches. What is a fair asking price? I will base the fish I want in return of of this.

I once had one, it killed lots of my clams. I took it to the LFS and traded it for the green Squamosa in the pic below. I would have taken a blue leg hermit in trade and called it fair LOL.

What did you pay for yours?

I received a beautiful pair of black and white occelarris from my neighbor who tore down his tank, I already had a pair of clowns in that tank so with his permission I took them to the lfs. The eel was marked for 125$ but they took my clowns in trade

snowflaks out here are not that high in price. california it cost me 55 for a 1 1/2 foot eel. when he got to 3 1/2 ft i sold him for 175 bucks.

I would expect about $50 in store credit. I'd call and see what they offer before catching it and taking it in.

Oh wow I figured it would be a lot more than that, but then on the other hand my LFS just offered me the same for a dinner plate sized Monti Cap. I gave it away instead of selling it to them.
