Hi everyone, I've been posting my tank progress on Reefcentral for a couple of years now, but recently have been splitting my time 50/50 between the two sites. With that being the case, I figured I would start a thread here as well. Over on the other site my thread is called " bonsai reef (SPS style), because that's really what it started out as, but over the last couple of years the tank has changed and morphed into what it is today. Not really bonsai anymore, but I think "Tranquil" when I look at it. Anyway, here are a couple pics from about 3 months ago. I've had many problems over the last couple years, such as Alk swings, vermetid snails, tank change due to cracked center brace etc...., but things have seemed to have settled down and are back on track as of late (knock on wood). All corals were started from small frags. So here are a couple pics, to get this thread going. Hope you like:

WOW!! How did I miss this until now!? Beautiful! Please keep us updated!

Thanks for the compliments! I'm pretty much out of real estate for this tank, now it's just being patient and if all stays on track, watching it keep filling in. I do want to add some more fish, I will update if I make any changes and to document growth.

Thank you, I'll try and take a new FTS soon, but I can tell you it doesn't look much different. I've always had growth, but slow growth. It amazes me when I see others progression shots, how fast some of the growth is. Maybe my growth is slow because I'm using 20k spectrum, but I'll take slow growth over none anyday. I'm glad you like the stags Coastie Reefer, they are my favorite corals to keep.

New update:
I've changed over from RW8's to gyre 230's. Better flow hands down, but a lot noisier than the RW8's. I will stick with them for now. I also got tired of nitrate dosing so I pulled my skimmer a few months ago. So far, so good on that front. Here are a few updated photos.
Full tank shot:

Under the hood, notice something missing, NO SKIMMER

Wider full tank shot showing the gyre's. One on each end alternating back and forth

Thanks for looking everyone!
