It wouldn't be a bad idea. Never can be to safe

I usually just make sure the qt water is equal to my display and move them with an acclimation box inside the tank to help the other fish become used to them. Very necessary when you have more aggressive fish (yellow tang) in my case.

I do, yes. I match salinity and temp but do a short acclimation (bail a couple cups of tank water in to their bucket over a 10-20 minute period)

I make sure the QT matches the DT in salinity and temp then I just toss them in with the lights off for the rest of the day.
