Transfer to a new tank

Hi guys,I have a 65 gallons Red Sea max for over one year now I have lps and about 12 fishes some of them are mid size and some small,invertebrates and a small rbt anemone,I am getting ready to upgrade to a new 120 gallons tank with refugium my question is how is the best way to do it? Do I have to let it cycle? For how long? I don't want to leave two tanks in my living room for months pls send me advices how to do it

Yes...the new tank will need time to cycle...can you speed it up...heck yeah..use already live rock, some water from your current tank and bacteria I a bottle to help with sand if you are adding new....other than that just let it go....move hardy stuff over first, like fish...make sure there's no ammonia or nitrites but if you have nitrates the fish can take it after acclimation...
It took 5 weeks for my 150g, with about 60lbs of dry rock and 40lbs of live, all new sand to cycle after adding 2 bottles of dr Tim's....

You could throw the corals into totes, the fish in totes, and same with rock and sand. Rinse the sand out really well. Put all the water you can into the bath tub, put the rest into another few totes. Move exsisting tank, put new into place. Throw the sand in, fill the tank with your exsisting kept tank water. Put in Rock. Make sure you have enough SW made up ahead of time to fill whats needed after you use your other tanks water. Fill the tank the rest of the way. Let settle for a few hours, when its to temp and cleared up a bit, add corals then fish. Your cycle should just be a mini and not do any harm to your corals, theres anough bacteria in what you've used to get you through this.
