I am setting up a new 75 gallon tank. It is now 3 weeks in and has cycled. I have several corals in another tank that I plan to move. Is there any reason not to move them even if I haven't put any fish or other live stock in yet? Any advice about precautions to take when moving them from the old tank to the new?

Acclimate them as you would with a new purchase and set your lights also to acclimation settings or at lkeast low white density and higher on blue

I assume when you say cycled, you started with dry?
If so I’d add your fish and keep the lights off for another few weeks. It will lessen your algae bloom. Especially if they’re sensitive corals because you’ll be fighting algae like crazy and maybe Dino’s if you’re not careful.
If you have live rock-you’re fine to add now

I used live sand and several pieces of live rock.

I don’t really consider live sand as “live” but that’s just me.
personally I’d still wait for your tank to stabilize a bit more but if you put easy corals in there you’ll probably be fine.
the biggest unknown is algae and nutrients. If you have no nutrients, you’re putting coral into a sub par environment. Have I done it? Yea. Have I lost coral? Yea lol
People do it-it’s just how risky you want to be I suppose.

Thanks for your thoughts. I have some Duncans that I will probably move over. They are pretty hardy. I'll probably be putting some fish in soon. Probably a few Green Chromis to start or a Royal Gramma.
