I have an established 180g with 6 bio bricks and quite a few bio balls too. I setup a 40b in another room and I am moving a pair of clowns and a black widow to the 40. Was going to add 2-3 bio bricks also. Will that’s be ok since they should be filled with bacteria? Was going to add them right away. I wasn’t sure if I will get a cycle or not since they have been in 180 for 2 years. Thoughts?

should be fine. Use water from the original tank and move the block into the new tank. monitor NH4 for a week or so but it should stay at 0

Use a lot of bio balls and try to use as much water from original tank as you can. Put some rocks in there too.
