Transferring to bigger tank, with out sand !

When upgrading from 88 gallon to 240 gallon.. I will be just transferring liverock and ditching the sand for now.

my concern is that I will lose some fish because I’m losing beneficial bacteria.

Any input ?

Are you adding any new rock or media? You should be okay with the rock you have unless you have pushed the bioload to the max on the 88.

I have 9 fish in the 88
