Good day. I'm planning on changing from dosing polylabs ONE to All-4-reef. I'm concerned about the transition. I want to keep the Flux to a minimum. Sorry, this is for my 16 waterbox mixed. I dose 3 mills of poly one daily holding me at 450 cal, 10 kh, and about 1200 mag. Any suggestions on the change over? Or if you oppose the change why?

The added trace elements in AFR seems like an added benefit without adding another product to dose. I also recently started a new bottle of poly one. Going from the old bottle to the new one threw off my parameters for a couple weeks. I'm guessing that's due the product coming in powder form, when mixing in the ro the ratio was slightly different. I feel like a product that's already in liquid form from the manufacturer will have less variances from bottle to bottle.

Disclaimer I don't have experience with either product, but my opinion is the impact of changing dosing products, salts, etc is overrated.

I have switched between calcium reactors, two part, kalkwasser, etc and never seen any true negative impact. Some are easier than others to get dialed in and requires frequent testing to make sure you get dosage amounts correct initially. But otherwise I just don't think its a big deal.

Tropic Marin has some errors in how it describes its concentration, and there are weirdly, different claims about the concentration of the liquid (either 2800 or 5600 dKH, I suspect he latter is the correct interpretation of their erroneous description) vs the powder (6,000 dKH) versions, but trying to read through the errors, I think it is substantially less potent than Polyplab one (11,200 dKH).

Thus, I would start the switch to All for reef by using twice as much as you were using for the Polyplab One, and adjust from there.
