When transferring to larger tank when do you move your livestock? I cycled my new rock for almost 4 months then tried to match parameters. Temp and salinity is easy, The issue was DKH, I used reef crystals for the new water in the shallow 75. The DKH was 9.6 the 45.2 was growing so fast that the DKH was hard to maintain at 7.5 . Soooo I started doing bi-weekly water changes between the two tanks. I finally got the tanks between .5 to 1 DKH between each other. I had corals growing into each other in the 45.2 with no room to trim without tumbling stuff down! So I bit the bullet and just made the move. Build thread below.

Build Thread - Old Reef to New New to Old New
Started a new build or rebuild. After hurricane Ivan wiped out my SPS reef. Then Katrina wiped out my softy tank. At that point I turned my 75 gallon shallow into a planted fresh water tank. I dirted And planted the tank. It was the easiest tank I ever kept. Most of the livestock lasted 10...
