Hello,
My wife and I just got back in town and I noticed that the tissue around my Deresa's "mouths" is bleached/translucent. Has anyone ever seen this/ know what could be causing it? I've had the clam for about 3 months now and it has been doing well otherwise.

), so I don't know what the PAR value for where he is. The tank is a Innovative Marine Nuvo 40 gallon. It's 19" tall and I have about 2" of sand and he was on a piece of rock covered with sand (~16" from the top of the aquarium). The light is an 85 W Led fixture (a Chinese one I got from a LFS that used them with good success about 6 years ago). When I placed him in the aquarium, he initially attached with his filaments, but then he detached and has never re-attached.
