Translucent tubular algae

Anyone know what kind of algae this is? I have never seen it before.

I am not, just chaeto

I don't think so, it's individual strands, doesn't have the forking and branching growth pattern.

Definitely close though. I know the pics suck

No algae eaters in the tank yet but apparently it's very nutritious! Only have a few patches so no biggie, it's a new tank. Putting in a tang shortly so well see!

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't dealing with some crazy invasive species or something like that. Pretty sure you guessed it right.

Yep. They ate all of my neon green clove polyps and wear green star polyp and pulsing xenia like a crown of victory. Still fun to watch!
