New 6 Line, I didn't quarantine due to problems with them and medication. Was fine all day yesterday till this morning, lights on and I see this spot behind her head in the spine area. She is swimming fine, breathing okay and swims next to my clown without any problems between the two. Sorry for the poor pictures she is hard to catch still.

I think I just figured it out, should I stop her from doing it, fill the hole with epoxy? I was wondering where she was hiding when I couldn't find her. This is a small hole in my live rock, just barley big enough for her to fit into.

While it *could* be a scrape, it seems pretty extensive to be just that. Remember, coral reef fishes are pretty adept at swimming around corals and not getting stuck. In home aquariums, it does sometime happen when the fish are startled; a loud bump, turning the lights on suddenly etc.

If you notice lack of appetite and rapid breathing, it could be Uronema.

Would you recommend a freshwater dip? I just read it can relieve symptoms temporarily until proper medication can be obtained.

Typically, I only suggest a FW dip to diagnose flukes, or to buy a little time with some protozoan infections. In this case, I don’t think that the benefit outweighs the risk. If the fish could be moved to a treatment tank, antibiotics would be a better bet.
