Hi can someone please I'd this critter for me? I've been searching and cant find anything that resembles him anywhere online, he is massive in terms of live rock critters! Easily 1-2cm and visible scuttling across live rock in and out of holes, tends to stay under cover at a hoke entrance, there are quite a few of them. My live rock Is EXTREMELY mature and teaming with life so I'm used to all the usual critters like flatworms bristleworms copepods amphipods fireworms I've seen em all.. all apart from these!! Any help would be much appreciated and thanks for the patience I'm a new member and this is my first post. :)

Thanks for the quick replys reef lover and Katrina! I'm really stumped here, my lights are off but il try and take some better pics tomorrow after work so everyone can get a better idea :) thanks again guys!

I had a large type of pod that would carry small rubble and make a burrow. Can't tell if the pic is the same.

Here's a video of one moving i took earlier it may help, its towards the end of the video. Thanks for the input guys really appreciated!!

Ah well thats good! Do you think a dragonette would keep the population at bay? Dont want them to overrun the place and dont really have any natural predators for them.. thanks guys!!

Btw, welcome to R2R! A dragonette would probably eat them, but at the same time, they could probably decimate their population. You may need to supplement copepods constantly to keep it fed.

Pods are great. But you stated theyre over an inch long?? Those are huge pods...
Do the tails curl under them or remain straight behind??
Sorry i cant get the vid to play...

Hi guys, yeah I know they are good :) I love having critters in my tank it is full of them and thriving well :) the reason I ask about the dragonette is I had one years ago when I first started and my tank was no where near mature enough, nor was my knowledge.. since then I have acquired some amazing live rock that has been in the large tanks in my local fish shop for almost 60 years, since then my tank health has increased drastically I've got life everywhere!! :) my knowledge is now somewhat better too :) thanks again guys it's good to have somewhere to talk fish!

No centimetres reef lover :) I will get better pics for you guys tomorrow after work! I'm planning on adding a few new members soon and just dont want any nasty buggers in there before I do :)
