I really like my local lfs, but he’s pretty small and struggles to get in much of a selection.

In a week I’ll be visiting the in-laws, and there is a local non-chain lfs that’s huge and has a dream selection of livestock. It’s about 3 hours away.

Toward the end of our visit, I plan on getting some livestock from them (could be any mix of salt/fresh fish/inverts/corals, etc.

I plan on having QT setup and ready to go at home, but what’s the best method for about 3-4 hours of transport? I know We can order fish online, but don’t know much about how they prep fish for this journey.

All tips appreciated, I want to do what I can to make the trip as easy as possible on any livestock I may get.

Put them in a cooler and that will help insulate them. If you need to you can also put a couple of hand warmers under neath of them too
