So as some of you may know, I've just recently been researching saltwater aquariums, and have been falling more and more in love!

But I have a question for all of you!

Because I travel, I'm taking into consideration the moving of my future tank. I would be driving about an hour to and from places, but for the most part, my tank will be staying in one location for months at a time. My question for you, how is the best way to transport a tank? Put the fish and corals in a baggie for later? Help!

Although it's possible to frequently move a tank and people who display at events often do just that, stability is the key to a successful tank. I'd definitely go with a nano tank, perhaps one of the all in ones that have most of the equipment built in. Fish, corals, and likely live rock will all have to be bagged and transported. You'll need a way to carry all the water with you. I would stick to the most durable corals and fish you can find.

Exactly what I was thinking! Thank you!

I recently helped my friend move a 40gal breeder. We put all the sand etc and fish into five gallon buckets. The whole process which was a signal trip was neither easy or fun. It took he and I 7-8 hours to swap out my 75 and we weren't even moving it. I broke a brace long story. We did however use the same 5gal bucket plan
