hey. hoping someone can help me out. i am needing to take my large riterri and 2 clown fish to the lfs. what can i transport them in. my lfs is about 45- an hour away. i was wondering if i can just put them in a bucket or do i need them bagged and with oxygen so they will make it? thanks......

i had picked up a nano with 2 clowns and an anenome in it and just put them in bags with no problems. it was about about an hour to the lfs where i tranded in the anenome and another 30 minute home. fish looked great and havent had any problems yet.

A bucket would be fine. Just make sure the water doesn't get too hot, and the anemone might attach to the bucket making it hard to remove.

make sure you get that anemone attached to something (live rock rubble) before you transport it. or it might attach to the bag/bucket.

ive had fish in a bucket for hours, and it did fine. ive also had corals sit in a bag all day, and they survived. as long as things dont get to hot/cold.

thanks for input everyone! very helpful. phil--- i would but i gotta get him out now. hes been fine for 5-6 mths in the same spot high in the tank and today he started moving. and afraid he will start moving over things and killing them.... just not worth the risk. so i gotta get him out in the a.m. already spoke to the lfs thats taking it.

well best of luvk girly hope all goes well what u using ur credit on

well i still would like clown fish and something for them to host. so i think im going to purchase a diff pair of clowns.. not sure what type yet and maybe a large frogspawn that hopefully they will host.
