Hi all , i live like 5 hours away from the Red sea ( Corrals  ) so i was thinking to catch some for my future tank and i simply was wondering how i need to be prepare for keeping them alive for the journey ? And how to prepare for Starfish and Crabs ?

Wow Sounds Cool!! Couldnt tell you a thing about it im as far from an ocean as you can be.. But it does sound like a lot of Fun!! Hopefully you'll keep us updated if you get anything!

ohhhhhhhhhhhh......I see :P
You'll need to make sure that you have a stable place to hold the corals during their journey, and investing in some ammonia buffer might be a good idea. If you plan to keep them in one container, I suggest you use an airstone. Temperature is also a consideration, as small quantities of water heat up quickly, so it might be a good idea to keep them out of direct sunlight. Only take small pieces, too....larger bits find it harder to survive the journey. As for starfish.....I'd say the same, although I have little experience in that area. I live around an hour away from where I sometimes collect, and that works for me! Good luck!

Thanks for the valuable tips , most of what i worried is the temperature because its a hell long drive through a desert ! and im worry of "smuggling" them through the check border point so i need to know the decent amount of water i should bag them in ...
