help please im new with anemones i placed this fella in my new nano i had all zoas and polyps in my old tank so i never cared for an anemone he moved away quite far to be honest im impressed. But he seems to have fallen in a hole in my rock im not sure if hes stuck or he wants to be there. Any help pic attached

So then this is pretty normal behavior ? I heard they move but he was literally on the other side of my tank and in a night made it to that hole

Yep. Anemone's are very intelligent and will move all over the place to find the correct area they want to be in. As for your tank, I would suggest adding fish netting over your power heads just in case it decides to go that route.

I actually just added 2 new heads yest small but its only 35 gallons and they push 300 gpm. But they came sith a fish safe cage ! Now as for the anemone hes much larget then pictured probably mote then half his body is in this small hole a couple tenticles are wrapped around some crevices thats why i didnt know if he was stuck or not.

The anemone is stuck...to the rock in the hole. that is what they do. their foot adheres to the rock so they cannot be blown or pulled of. Best way to care for one is to let them do what they want. once they find their happy spot, they stay there. most times not where you would want but yours looks like a nice spot. I setup my tank a month ago and fortunatley mine have not moved at all. they are happy, but my rock anemone has been all over the place.

Thanks for the advice he seems happy where hes at. I just hope he can eat there he hasnt ate ne krill ive put in there

Im still gonna attempt to feed him just in case ive grown some really good coraline so my water is fine my lighting is led and strong so should be ok

Moving is natural for a new anemone and they like to bury their foot (sebae nems typically prefer rock work). However moving and not fully opening can mean it is still acclimating and it could be slightly stressed which means feeding it (especially larger food like krill) could be detrimental to its health. Also coraline is not a good indicator of water quality (more just a sign of calcium levels).
