Happy Sunday everyone. My Sixline jumped into the back of the tank. It's small and tight back there. How in the world will I get him out??

I have removed small gobies by creating a siphon and sucking them out with a tube into a bucket. The tube would have to be big enough of course!

He's in the reservoir but too fast to get him in the pic

Does it come off? If so I would take it off and dump the water in it into the bucket and hope the six line comes with it.

Is that stressful for the fish? He's pretty big...

Oh jeez then suction it with a very large tube like revhtree said. Just make sure the diameter of the tube is large enough for him to pass through. Also Idk if water is constantly being fed into the reservoir but make sure you can add water too it if you suction everything but the wrasse out lol.

I would use a syphon as someone already mentioned. Just get one large enough for him and syphon it right back into your tank. Just be careful of detritus back there!

I kept some tank water in a container that I could pour right back in if he didn't get in the tube!

To create a syphon, your starting point needs to be higher than your end point. In other words, where your sucking the water out needs to be draining into maybe a buck on the floor. Just keep the end of the tube doing the sucking under water and suck on the other end until the water gets past the highest point of the tube. It will just keep sucking water on its own after that. Good luck!

Oh and try not to inhale any tank water... Gross!

Remove the pump and try to grab him out with your hands or a net. It's not the biggest space back there but you might be able to do it.
