I have 6 2.5-3 or 3.5" damsels I need out of my tank. They are staghorn damsels and they are now attacking my hand in tank and knocking corals off the rockwork when they chase each other. I ordered the nyros bubble trap but my tank glass is too thick. So got one that hangs on side but none will go inside. Took door off and leaving it in tank tonight. There is no way to net them between how fast they are and my rockwork and SPS sticks

Any other suggestions for these dang damsels that need to go!!! Hoping I could get them out by sunday as I'm going to the lfs but not looking good for that!

Might see if I can find a teeny tiny fishing hook!

When I had to catch fish. I set the trap as u did but had to add long piece of fish line so I can spring the trap from afar. Food should entice all but the fish u want in the box. Lol. Good luck u got tis!

I caught my triggerfish recently 2" by turning the tank light on. Pulling the rock up he was "asleep" under and I just netted him up. Lol.
Did it once with a filefish too but damsels idk.

can't remove my rock work. All but 1 section is cemented and heavy and I'd risk breaking corals off. Ugh!

I'll have to see if night works. So far I don't ever see them "sleep". Always moving

Had the same problem, tried tiny hook ( didn't work )
Used the fish trap, took awhile but I eventually caught all 4

I did not feed tank for a few days, they got hungry and entered the trap ( one by one )

Good luck

Might have to try that. trouble is, I have anthias so can't totally starve the tank.
