any ideas on how to trap the tangs in my tank?? I have two regal tangs one is about 2" and the other is 5" and I have a purple tang that is about 4" I'm moving the into my 180g and want to do it slow so I don't wanna break the tank down first.

There are fish traps you can buy or make but I would just do it when you do water change. When the water level is lower they have less room to hide. You can also use a glass or acrylic partition to keep them in one part of tank. With tangs it's better to use a container to scoop them than net. Anytime I've done it I do it as I'm tearing down tank because it is so much easier without rock and with water at about 25%.

I recently made a couple myself. The one that worked best was first cutting the end off an old juice bottle. Then cutting the bottom of a ziplock bag open and rubber banding it around the open end of the juice bottle. Finally I stitched some fishing line around the open end of the ziplock bag. I knotted one end of the line and left the other end long enough to hang out of the tank. After a day of laying on the sand bed the fish would swim in and out. I baited it with some favorite food and waited. Once the fish I wanted was inside, I pulled the string which sealed the end of the trap. Bingo!!!
