I used to travel for work a lot. When I generally fly out of state, I like to visit the closer LFSs to check to see their wares. On a couple occasions, I really wanted to buy a coral or two but the shops don’t ship. Has anyone found a good way to ship it to yourself from the hotel or what is your best approach when you encounter this?

By the time you pay for the coral, get it to your hotel, and then overnight ship it to yourself next day, you're going to be better off finding the same coral by an online vendor and letting them ship it to you. At least that way you have some kind of dead on arrival guarantee. If you buy it from a store and ship it to yourself, and it dies in transit, you're out that time and money as it's highly unlikely the store you purchased it from is going to be able to do anything with how the coral was handled.

Very true. Sometimes the price is too good and I still wish I could lol.

I’m so with you on this experience. I haven’t done it yet but I want to.

TSA says acceptable to carry on but discretion of security officer. I’ve seen people say print out the rule and bring with you and they haven’t had trouble.

Here’s a container made for it.

Here’s the TSA website answer to coral transport.
