I was lucky enough to go to reefapalooza this weekend in Orlando. A huge question everyone had was how do we keep this coral alive and get it home safe. We got corals the first day (Saturday) and flew home Tuesday afternoon. Here's how we did it.

We got a small pump and a small bag of chemi pure and poured the corals into a big bowl. (Be careful doing this you can spread pests, always dip!) We used frag holders to separate them and keep them from stinging each other. To our surprise they opened every morning and all the feeder tentacles came out. The pump kept them warm enough inside. I'll share how they look when I get home. Feel free to share how you traveled with your corals.

I repackaged all the frags so that it was as little water as possible. As long as you show them that, it was all good. Tsa actually mentioned how cool it was. They did stop my husband who had my frag plug rocks in his bag [emoji51]. They just looked at it and let us go. We carried on.

I have carried on zoas and an elegance before. just pulled them out of my bag at security and let them run it thru the scanner. once i told them it was living tissue and such, they were quite cool about it. and yes. several did stop be just to inquire and gawk.
