Treat macroalgae before adding to sump?

Hey! Im planning on buying some macroalgae to help with neutrient export. I know for a fact my lfs has some pests like aiptasia and bubblealgae.
Is there a way to treat the macro before adding into the sump?
Im thinking freshwater dip or something.
Unfortunatly I have no way of QT it and Im not sure it would help either since the bad stuff probobly thrives in the macro.

I would recommend purchasing from an online retailer that specializes in algae.
They all have a good reputation for clean pest free algaes.

I don't know of a way to treat it or QT it for pests.

Yeah that would be the best possible option to ensure no pests. Unfortunatly there arent many alternatives here in Sweden that I know of, otherwise that would have been the best option!

Har du träffat de andra svenskar här på R2R? Kanske skulle en av de ge dig lite chaeto. Annars hittade jag livealgae.co.uk, vet ej om dem levererar till sverige.

Nej tyvärr har jag inte jättebra kontakt med någon inom saltvattensvängen, men det är helt klart ett alternativ också! Tyvärr vet man ju inte hur "rena" dom algerna är heller även om säljaren har goda intentioner.
