Treat new fish or just observe?

I just got three fish from a buddies mature tank. They don’t have any signs of ich or velvet as he had the tank up for 2 years.

Should I run them in copper for 30 days or observe ?

I would vote run prazi at a minimum since internal parasites can be so hard to spot

That’s for sure. But the copper I’m waiting if I should observe and then dose when I see a spot or something.

Yeah can always grab a couple of fresh water mollies if reql concerned

I would want to hold them for 10 days to 2 weeks at least. Maybe treat with prazipro.
Even if your buddy has had them for 2 years, it really depends on what he has added to that tank where the fish came from. Has he added any new unquarantined fish in the past few months? Has he added any new corals?
