Good afternoon all!
So I started treating 2 clownfish for a bacteria infection with ruby reef rally pro about 2 weeks or so ago.
You can see my previous thread for older pics, but I have a question

so the white is all gone, but in the healing areas, there is some black

Any idea what that could be?
Thanks

Can you post a recent picture taken under white light? It is most likely granulomatous tissue, from the healing process.

Sorry for the blurry pic. I need to clean my glass

No Ruby Reef is not a primary antibiotic, it likely has no effect on this issue. The acriflavine in it might have some limited effect, but the fish probably recovered on its own. From what I can see in the pic, the lesions are healing.

To be clear on the photo, there isn’t any visible white on the fish anymore
That is just my glass

To be honest, fish tend to recover from bacterial infections or not despite treatments we give...none of the medications we offer have gone through sensitivity testing on the affected fish, so it is all just a guess. Think getting a strep throat swab, we don’t do that for fish.
