Should I treat my Mandarin in QT with prazipro and cupramine?

I have had the new Mandarin in my QT for about a week now. Usually when I QT fish I will dose prazipro twice and then start cupramine for four weeks even if they show no signs of disease but I have heard that it is not recommended to use cupramine on Mandarins.

Does anyone have any experience with cupramine and Mandarins?
Would it affect the live foods I plan to give her?
Is prazipro safe for Mandarins?

The Mandarin has slowly started to eat frozen food. I plan to feed mainly frozen food (once per day) and newly hatched baby brine shrimp (once per day) during the treatment periods.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Why do you treat fish in QT at all if they aren't showing signs of disease?

Unnecessary stress, IMO.

Purpose of QT should be to provide low-stress environment and observe for a period of time enough to avoid introducing disease to display.

Mandarins have a special coat/slime that make them very susceptible to ich. I have NEVER seen or heard of a mandarin with ich. IME I'd do tank transfer instead and then prazipro if you really must QT

Is there a typo, I thought the slime coat protected them from diseases?

Prazi-pro is safe. I wouldn't use copper though. Do a tank transfer method if you are worried about ich.

Yea typo. States they are very Susceptible to ich but then says he has NEVER seen or heard of a mandarin with ich.
