I treat all new fish with either TTM or copper and a couple of rounds of Prazi. I rarely lose fish with this method but every now and then I get a new fish that I successfully treat for ich or flukes or shows no physical signs of any disease that just won't eat and/or gradually deteriorates.

My most recent example was a white cheek tang. It was thick and picking around for food in the LFS frag tanks. I bought it and put it in QT. I saw it pick a little at food but I noticed both ich and flukes. I first treated for flukes with two rounds of Prazi and he improved and then started copper. He was fine for a week but still not eating strongly. All the external signs of ich and flukes had gone. From there it just went down hill, stopped eating, became lethargic and pale and eyes started clouding towards the end. I reduced copper to .35 then removed it altogether but saw no improvement over the couple of days until it died.

I'm wondering if this might have been because of some internal fluke or worm? If so, how would I go about treating it?

Unfortunately we don't have products here to bind meds to food like Seachem Focus and API General Cure is also not available in Australia. Would simply soaking food in Prazi do the job?

You could always mash the frozen food. Then sprinkle around one dose (for example: one spoon of metro) for every cube of food. Then vigorously mix. Then refreeze and break off a chunk as needed . This is what I do and it works fine. Maybe add a little extra to ensure the fish get the meds in the food.
