Hi guys, my tank inhabitants are battling intestinal worms, many having exhibited the telltale sign (white stringy poop)... this is my second crack at treating this issue, as the first go around was unsuccessful. This time, I've been soaking the Rod's frozen food in a little red solo cup with just enough water to melt it, then adding General Cure, and Seachem's Focus (in a 5 to 1 Focus to GC rato) for 20 to 30 minutes before feeding every day for the last three weeks. I know based on reading the @Humblefish piece on treating the nasty buggers that you only need to treat for about two weeks...but i don't want to stop too early and risk a relapse! I also don't want to hurt the fish by doing it too long (if that's an actual possibility?). I've yet to see any of the fish poop during the last three weeks of treatment, AT ALL, so i really don't know where I'm at yet. So i guess my question is, should i keep going a little longer, or stop now? Thanks a ton!

Can i add Kanaplex to the GC and Focus, just to be certain?

I wouldn't add that to the food. If they are in QT, you can add the kanaplex to the water, but medicating needs to be done carefully since some fish can react badly to too many medications being administered.

I agree with everything being said. It can occasionally take awhile for normal poop to resume when treating, depending on how bad the infection is and how good the fish is at cleaning g itself out! :)
