Ok my two types of zoas in my tank have zoapox. #1 how do i treat? do i use furan-2 and if so how?

Do i remove the corals and dip then put back in the tank? or can i put them in my 10 gallon invert QT tank because it says one packet to 10 gallons of water. And if i use the 10 gallon tank will the medication kill off the beneficial bacteria in the tank?

Also any other methods to eradicate this i would love to hear it?

I'd never use medications in or near established tanks. I've personally never used Furan, but others have said it's effective. I lean towards CoralRX and Brightwell's medi-coral dip. Brightwell's contains a small amount of iodine and I believe it works on bacteria well.

Use super clean and soap free small containers and mark one for treatment and one for rinsing. You can pick up cheap Gladware at Wally's or the grocery. Work out your water volume for treatment, and use the appropriate amount for the volume. You can use a small clean implement to 'remove' the infection while in the dip. Make sure you use gloves and protective eyewear as well. Then blow off detritus using a new turkey baster and dip in the rinse container. Both the treatment water and rinse water should be seasoned tank water as well.

I believe most timing on the dips are 5-10 minutes depending on the type of coral so make sure you read directions well.

Best of luck, and keep us posted! [emoji1611]
