How long do you keep your fish in a hospital tank to treat for ich and black ich or any disease for that matter. I got my first sick looking fish. Im headed home with a 10g tank p.pro and ich treatment.

It depends on a bunch of factors. What ich treatment did you get? If it is copper do you have a copper test kit?

For black ich 2 doses of Prazipro 5-7 days apart should clear it up. A freshwater dip can also provide temporary relief.

For Ich you have a few options:
30 days of copper at therapeutic levels
14 days of therapeutic copper followed by a transfer to a totally sterile QT (ie no ich in the new tank).
Tank transfer method (you can dose Prazipro at the end of transfers 1 and 3 or 2 and 4). https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/tank-transfer-method.192655/

If you mix copper and Prazipro you will want to have lots of aeration in the tank because oxygen levels will be heavily depleted by combining meds (think pump pointed at tank surface and an airstone). I think some people have had more success using general cure (which has Prazipro in powder form + metro).

I would read over the first post in this thread, it offers a solid treatment plan: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/my-current-qt-process.483371/
