I was going to hold off and do a big dump when I had it rolling.. I couldn't wait!

Main Goal: Ultra budget friendly Frag system - using equipment on the fish room shelves!

Specs:

20g Frag Tank - 48x12x6
20g Sump - 30x12x12
4 bulb T5ho (hydrofarm) - 2 super actinic - 1 coral wave - 1 6500k
Vertex Omega 150 skimmer
Mag 2 return pump - Likely going to a Jebao DC pump in the near future

It began with picking up this used Frag tank from a local reefer - Whew it needs a scraping!!

Many stand choices - metal rack? 2x4's? I met in the middle with a Minimalistic design made from Select Pine.

Fingers crossed - final mockup and cleanup - Drywall should be done this weekend - water maybe Sunday?! Please excuse my grubby old skimmer. 2.5g for Topoff - Working on a black lid now.

When are you going to be putting in the first frags?

I'll likely throw some Zoanthids in this weekend - I'm dosing Microbacter7 daily directly into my LR basket in the sump to help things along.

I've got a leaking return line - where my NPT/barb fitting screws into bulkhead - its not much - so im puting it off until the weekend - Im going to have to drain a bit of water to work on it.

Another issue - I hadn't used the skimmer in months - its breaking in again and going NUTS - no micro bubbles in the "display" portion but I want this running smooth before I add anything in fear of breaking it down to fix something.


I did get some cheap tank dividers on Amazon to use as frag racks - I need to print some legs on the 3d printer - and figure out why they float! I might have to weight the legs with rubble or something.
