I was messing around with my camera trying to get some good pics of my zoa's. I am pretty new to saltwater photography and just trying my hand at it. Downloaded 30 day trial of Lightroom 4 and have been trying to learn how to manipulate the image to a close replica of the coral. Here is a edited pic and unedited one of my GOW. I think it turned out really nice I got lucky and this is only 1 of 3 shots I took of it. It seems as it is almost impossible to get a picture focused just right. Im using a Canon Rebel xti with 28-135 mm lens. Please fill free to give me some pointers. First pic is edited.

That is a good photo. It is really difficult to make sure your focus point is exactly where you want it each time. I also take a few photos and find that the focus is off in most if not all of them haha. My fish/coral photography improved once I got my 100mm macro lens.

Not a bad picture. Are you taking any pics in Raw format? I finally figured out how to properly edit Raw photos and it is a night and day difference.

Yes I was taking these in raw format with the mirror locked. I also had all the flow in tank off and that seemed to make a huge difference in getting the shot to focus.
