Anyone have one? I can't find much information on them or people having them. I've read (some) nip at SPS. I picked up a decent size one at a LFS last night. I'm curious to see how he acts today. He wasn't able to meet my wrasse because it was his bed time & I don't think he noticed my clownfish.

I've owned a few, but lost them in tank transfers. I think they are called black sailfin blennies too (could be wrong). Mine never caused any issues, but my naso tang didn't seem to like him for whatever reason.

Yeah, I don't have any SPS. I'm looking at my live feed & still seems like he's in hiding. He's bigger then my wrasse, so he should be okay.

They say blennies won't munch on coral if you keep them fed multiple times a day. I don't have the schedule to keep one fed to keep 'em off the corals so long story short... The only one I gave a chance went to the sump. Ended up in my skimmer pump couples weeks later before I could find him a home. So I skip over those. Nice personalities, goofy fish, but coral isn't cheap and definitely not a food source in my tank.

Is the tribal blenny and the black combtooth blenny the same thing? I ask because I have a blenny from Liveaquaria and its the black combtooth blenny and he looks so much like the one you have.

This is no ordinary blenny. There were several of these floating around on our local club. Every one would strip an sps clean in no time. I didn't hear of one NOT eating sps.

I have the comb tooth Blenny from Liveaquaria and he is a model citizen. Hangs out in a large spongodes and minds his own business.

This is not ur typical blenny it will eat sps infact I believe that might be the staple of his diet!!

lol, well I'm glad I don't have any SPS. He's been hiding in the barnacle all day. I've seen him swim out twice for a few seconds. My wrasse doesn't mind him, but he's also acting like a "tough" guy around him

some one just gave me one the other day. i have alot fo sps should i get rid of him!!?
