Like the title says I need to catch a fish in my tank, an engineer goby who hides most of the time in his cave. He is getting way to big for my tank and I want to get him out. He only comes out at feeding time, hides rest of time. I REALLY don't want to take apart rockwork. Any advice would be appreciated! Fyi he is a long snake like fish of about 4 inches

Cut the bottle about 1/3 of the way down and take the top and point it into the inside. The fish swim in but have a hard time swimming out. Put his food inside the bottle.

I've used this inverted bottle trick successfully many times as well. I place a frozen cube inside the bottle, shut the flow off and place the bottle in the area where the fish hangs out the most. Doing this before having fed the tank helps as well
