Hello,

I have a question about my trident. I know the correct answer is to open a trouble ticket with Neptune, but I would like to get others opinions first.

First the trident is extremely consistent. my trident has been reading between 8-8.25 for the past 2 weeks ish. I have been checking with my Hannah and a Salifert test kit, both of those read 9.4-9.6 ish.

Now I can leave it be and just know what my numbers really are. But... I paid alot of money to get this thing and all the "extra" things that Neptune has to offer.

Now here is some more info, I have used 2 bottles of calibration fluid to check and make sure that is not off.

I have also used my water to calibrate the Trident to see if that would help get my numbers closer.

The reason for not sending the unit in, is because of the turn around time, which I have no idea what it is, I just know that I am set to deploy sometime in the next few weeks to month, and I dont want my wife to try dealing with set up and troubleshooting when it comes back.

What are your thoughts? Can I calibrate the trident with my saltwater and just add say 1.0 to number to get me closer to the 9.4 ish that I am really running?

thanks for all the help,

Mike

I just went through this same issue, you open a ticket and they will call you and walk you through cleaning the cuvette with a q tip. Mine had black stuff in it, recalibrated it now it’s bang on again
