Do you guys test the calibration fluid to see if the values match whats on the label? I normally calibrate once a month but the last few calibrations the values coming from my trident have been way off. So I decided to test the calibration fluid.

Trident Calibration label
DKH 8.4
CAL 465
MAG 1265

My results

Hanna DKH 8.8
Salifert CAL 390
Salifert MAG 1200

Im guessing this is whats throwing off my trident results but I'm not 100%. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on this? Should i calibrate to the values i got when i tested or just go with the Neptune bottle.

I did and they never do - which is why I just chuck them, test my tank with my Hannas and calibrate my Trident using tank water and my test results.
How have the test results on the Trident been since calibration with tank water?

Bang-on until there's an occasional difference with the reagent (hasn't happened with my Trident, but there was a 0.5dKH difference on the Trident I manage at work on the last bottle we replaced). I will typically test every 2 weeks and recalibrate my Trident accordingly, but these are really small differences, ie: ±0.25dKH for alkalinity or ±10-25ppm for calcium and magnesium.
