Trident model changes since launch?

I am now in the market for a Trident and have noticed that the price has increased from the launch date.
Is this price increase because of updates they have made since it's release date?
Is there improvements that have been made to the current model?

The reason I'm asking is I have found a local LFS that has a Trident at the original price. $600 versus current $640 price.
So would this be an older version and would I be missing out on any current updates to the product?

Prices went up due to supply chain problems. I've heard there was a minor change in internal electronics on new Trident models, but they are functionally the same as the originally released model.
