I know I've seen some posts about this before. But can't find any at the moment.
I am trying to set up my Trident and keep getting the " no water sample" error.
I have worked thru trouble shoot and sample line is clear. I can purge air thru line to the sump and pull water thru to the Trident so I know the line (black) is clear.
No water in bottom of drawer and everything looks good in the back. (As far as I know) i sent in a ticket but thought I would check with you guys before giving up for the night.

Also, how do I shut it down to wait for support?

Pull out the reagent try, remove the reagent bottles, then look inside where all the tubes connect to the pump and valves to see if the sample line is properly connected. If it came loose, it won't pull in water and that would also explain why there's no leaked water.

Try to unplug power from trident for 10 seconds and plug back in. Sometimes if unit is turned on without sample line in tank for first time it sucks air and gets this error. Power reset let’s pump try again

You didn’t do what I did. I put the clear one in my sump and black to waiste water lol. Couldn’t figure out what was going on. Kept saying no sample water. Duh
I don't think you are the only one. Seems like I've seen multiple posts between here and the Neptune Facebook of peeps doing this. This was in the back of my mind so I put my waste in some ro water just to see if it would start drinking.

Good thing about all this is it gave me a chance to build a sweet little shelf for the trident. One thing I realized after I began install was the sample tube just isn't quite long enough with it on the bottom to go up and over the partition wall.

Just so you know the sample line is not supposta be shortened or extended in any way. Also if you’re trident is lower then the source it takes its water from you run risk of a Siphon from the tank on the floor if the line comes off on the inside of the trident. Just some helpful information

Thank you

@smokin’reefer I am going through this now. I have had it apart twice, checked all the hoses and I can fill the cuvette with a syringe, so I know the line is clear and hooked up through the system and clear to the cuvette. It just won’t water up by itself.

Can you share what your issue turned out to be and what the Neptune tech suggested to correct it? TIA

Thank you

I don’t think you’re supposed to be able to push water from your supply line with a syringe all the way through to fill the Cuvettes even if you opened up the pinch valve manually, it still won’t go through the pump like that

Agree- there should be resistance.

Assure the pick up line is in the water- first reason there is no water sample. Disconnect that line which is black from unit and see if you can blow through it- you should be able to . If not, line is blocked. If clear, the manifold is likely blocked.

I think it’s more likely you’ve got the hoses in the wrong spots, or a hose not on all the way secured which is why you can push water all the way through it to fill the vile because that should not happen

I'm having an issue with this now. I let the trident set a couple months dry. I took it apart and cleared all the lines.

now when I plug it in the Alex will draw all the reagents just fine It also draws in through the sample line and I can see the cuvett fill with the sample fluid, but still tells me that there is no sample. I took the cuvett out and cleaned it hoping it was just dirty enough to block some light going through. I'm pretty sure its definitely an electronic issue in the sensor, seeing as it draws the samples properly.
